With a 7-page catalog of books and charts published by David Steel. This useful work was very popular with mariners of its day, and was reprinted many times. See Adams & Waters p. 27, #333 for Chandler; p. 53 for earlier editions, and Witt, “David Steel” for various editions. Corner of frontispiece torn away, with loss of two letters. Pages evenly tanned and otherwise in good condition. bound in original sailcloth over boards.
