Our last two lists consisted of a canoeing collection, and survivors from the Boston Book Fairs. Now that they’re out of the way, we can turn our attention to some of the items that have come in from Seattle, Boston, and the great wide world.
Highlights include an American surgeon’s account of his tour on a slave ship in 1806, a collection of rare photographic Cigarette cards featuring the America’s Cup, a pirate’s trial, and a sweet little clutch of Classics Comics. (Not to mention the classic “Pirate’s Own Book.” Just read an article in “Science Times” about how vultures are the smartest birds. Hmm…)
