Husband of noted sculptor Anna Huntington Hyatt (she created the Joan of Arc statue that stands in front of our American Legion Hall in Gloucester) Huntington was a philanthropist and scholar who founded the Hispanic Society of America in New York City. He also dabbled in poetry, and this book is an example of one of his dabbles. It is a handsome production, illustrated by Norman Hepple. About fine condition, bound in cloth over decorated boards, in publisher’s illustrated dust jacket. This copy is inscribed by Huntington to librarian and historian Walter Muir Whitehill, New York, 1936.
