This broadside shows the schedules for two of the line’s steamships, “Achilles – Capt. Hugh Main,” and “Actaeon – Capt. R. Crawford,” for June and July 1840, with departure times from Liverpool and Glasgow. The ships boasted “elegant and Convenient” fittings, “select Libraries, together with magazines and newspapers,” as well as “An excellent Table served, with choice Wines.” Cabin passengers paid 20 shillings plus 2 shillings for steward’s fees. Steerage passage cost 5 shillings. Old fold marks with small hole along horizontal center fold, not affecting any letters. A handsome and authentic display item in a fine frame.
