Moonraker. Or, the Female Pirate and Her Friends.
Jesse, F. Tennyson.
Alfred A. Knopf, ( 1927), New York
8vo, 19.5 cm. xi, 226, (1) pp. b/w frontispiece and plates.
This one wins on title alone. I can’t tell you if it’s any good because I haven’t read it and I’m not going to. But the jacket and binding are both pretty terrific, piratically speaking, and author Jesse is the grand niece of Alfred Lord Tennyson. Do people name their kids “Lord” anymore? The story, according to the blurb on the jacket, concerns the adventures of a cabin boy aboard a pirate ship in 1801 in the Caribbean. Very good condition in good dust jacket.
