The “Two Parts” are a history of the Old Colony Railroad line, and histories and sketches of towns along the railroad line. These include places between Mass. and RI, such as Provincetown and Newport, along with (by extension) locations on Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, etc., and views aboard the passenger steamers that were also part of the line. With 34 b/w plates of engraved views, and dozens of period ads, many of which are illustrated. Very good condition in original cloth binding, which is lightly worn and sunned.
