Detailed List of Manifests of Vessels Cleared at the Calcutta Custom House for Foreign Ports from 27th February to 4th March, 1912.
(Collector of Customs, Calcutta).
( 1912), Calcutta
8vo, 25 cm. 95 pp.
Here’s an oddity. It’s volume XLVII, No. 10, in the lengthy series of reports published by the India Customs Department, recording goods on various British vessels clearing for ports around the world. The list is organized by vessel, and includes destination, type of goods, quantity, value, and shipper. Nothing more to say for it except that it provides an interesting snapshot of Anglo-Indian commerce in the days before WW I. Bound in self wrappers, very good condition.
