This book records the voyages of 64 steam-powered cargo ships from Liverpool to East Boston. Time at waypoints is recorded, as is information about coal use and cargo. A “Remarks” section leaves room for information about Captains, pilots, routes, unusual events, and matters of dockside importance such as location of certain cargoes aboard ship. Cargoes were primarily wheat, oats, and corn. One of the more interesting remarks, for the ship “Cunenz” reads, “This was the German S.S. Adelaide seized at Loanda East Africa.” Bound in half leather over sailcloth.
