Froggie Went a Courtin’

January 23, 2023 By Greg Gibson 1 Comment

Worked all last week cataloging, arranging, and spiffing up presentation of the 70 or so items I’m sending out west for Rare Books San Francisco  Feb 3-5 and the California International Antiquarian Book Fair in Pasadena, Feb. 10-12.

That’s right. Five boxes. Total.

There’s always more to do, but I figured I’d earned a little time off, so I went up to the Northern Kingdom for a few days of cross country skiing.

3″ fresh powder on a base of a foot or so

Sorry about the absence of another weekly amusing and informative blog post – I’m sure you were expecting one.  But as Bob Dylan sings in his immortal rendition of “Froggie Went A’ Courtin’”

A little piece of cornbread layin’ on a shelf, uh-huh,
A little piece of cornbread layin’ on a shelf, uh-huh,
A little piece of cornbread layin’ on a shelf.
If you want anymore, you can sing it yourself, uh-huh.

As this ocean surrounds the verdant land, so in the soul of man there lies one insular Tahiti, full of peace and joy... God keep thee!
