This title appears in an 1879 catalog of publisher William T. Amies. It also appears in the 1880 “Magazine of American History” which calls it, “By far the best, most convenient and well colored book of Flags and Signals which has come under our observation. The Coats of Arms of Various Nations which are appended it give it a general value.” However, apart from these contemporary notices I can find no reference to this title in any of the usual online resources, and believe it to be rare. It has four locations on Worldcat, but each of them is the British Library or British Library Reference Collections. The book itself consists of title page, index, and 12 pages of color lithograph plates of the aforesaid flags, pennants, etc. Bound in original cloth with gold cover lettering. Covers detached but present. Plates in excellent condition, with tissue guards.
