No, this is not a scene from last weekend’s Manhattan Rare Book & Fine Press Fair, it’s “Life in the Forecastle,” a plate from J. Ross Browne’s marvelous “Etchings of a Whaling Cruise” (item #3 in this list). Also offered in List 374 are a number of items that were overlooked by shoppers at the show, probably because they were too small, or were covered over by other items, or were blocked from view by bulky attendees – I can’t imagine why else they wouldn’t sell!
It’s a shorter list than usual because I’m getting ready to leave for the London book fairs next week, and I still haven’t prepared my garden for this summer’s planting. Consequently the time available for catalog preparation has been limited. But don’t worry, my snow peas are doing quite well, thank you, and the lawn looks fantastic.
As usual, we will pay postage on all items shipped within the US. To order a book, please send an email to us at tenpound@tenpound.com listing item number, author and title. Best not to telephone, as I’m frequently out of the office and rely on time-stamped emails to keep everything fist come, first served. Enjoy!
