Being the personal narrative and results of travel through the Sandwich or Hawaiian Islands, and other parts of Polynesia. Hill calls it “a classic narrative of Hawaiian travels” but doesn’t cite this Harper & Brothers edition. Forbes, 1801, does, also citing this first edition as a “classic. The narrative portions of the text are interspersed with chapters on historical subjects.” Some foxing. Bound in original decorated cloth, with chip at top of spine.
