Not to be confused with the later, longer versions. This is Martin’s early try at describing the coast she loved, and much rarer. Worldcat shows no institutions holding hard copies. According to Smith’s bibliography of Maine, the first appearance of this title was in a smaller format in 1867, then this edition, then 1874, 1877, 1880, etc. each edition growing larger and more elaborate, with photographs and map. See Smith, 6312. Very good condition in printed wrappers as issued.
