Rosove 217.A2, who considers this the first state of the first edition. (See p. 246.) This is a fine untrimmed copy, with the errata slip in Vol I, two sheets of British Antarctic Territory first day covers laid in, and three folding duotone maps in back pocket of volume II. Handsomely rebound in quarter black morocco over marbled boards with red spine labels.
