Business as usual

You can always count on a good Ephemera Society of America Dealer’s Showcase. Nice hotel, good eating nearby, affordable booth rents, captive audience.  Plus, they’ve been running the identical show so long it could almost run on autopilot. What’s not to like?

Well, there’s always something. The Friday night preview for Ephemera Society members seemed thin, attended by guests more interest in socializing… as who wouldn’t be on a Friday evening after a long work week? The Friday night schmoozefest also took some of the juice out of the Saturday morning opening hour preview for Ephemera Society members.

Ditch Friday night, please.

As this ocean surrounds the verdant land, so in the soul of man there lies one insular Tahiti, full of peace and joy... God keep thee!
